Birth of GooGle
- Google began in 1996 as a project by Larry and Sergey Brin, both Larry and Sergey were studying at Stanford University, California. In his research project, he made a plan to create a search engine, which is in the category of websites based on the number of other websites related to the site (and finally came with Google today). Prior to Google, search engines searched the search term searched on a web page multiple times, and the two set to create a "more info" search engine.
- The domain google.com was registered on September 14, 1997, and Google Corporation was created one year later in 1998.
- Google started selling ads with its keyword searches in 2000, and therefore Google Adwords / Adsense was born. These advertisements have used a system based on the practice that you paid for your ad only when you click on your ad link - so the pay per click (PPC) was born.
- The word PageRank was patented in September 2001 - the word is not actually in the name of co-founder Larry Page, as some think because its name is a page (web page) rank.
- Apart from this, 2001 co-founder Larry Page has created Google CEO and former CEO of the novel. Eric Schmidt was appointed as Google's new CEO
Google took its offices into its large Google estate (nickname Googleplex) in Mountain View California in 2003, and is still based on it.
- In 2004, Google launched its independent web-based email service, which is known as Gmail. This service was created to rival the free online email services provided by Yahoo and Microsoft (Hotmail). This new free email service has shaken the foundation of free email with its huge 1 GB email storage, which dropped its rivals 'ten times'.
- Google launched Google Earth in 2004. Google Earth is a wonderful creation that is a map of the Earth based on satellite imagery. This interactive globe of the world allows you to type in search of any place in the world and you will be taken to that part of the world. The good part is that with Google Earth, you can zoom right at the street level and actually see your own street and even your home!
An interesting fact in Google's history is that in September 2005, Google had a very interesting company - a new partnership with NASA. It involved building a 1 million square foot research and development center at NASA's Ames Research Center. This was done a few months later after the launch of Google Mars and Google Moon: Two Google Maps style apps built on the Moon's planets and Mars paintings.

- In 2006 Google was added as an action in the Oxford English Dictionary - the "action" from Google has become so popular that Google is worried that their brand name may lose their copyright and patent security, and Other companies legally use the Google brand in their brand
- Today (written article of 2006) is a major controlled part of the search market in Google. Google is the most used search engine on the Internet with 54% market share. Yahoo! What about 23% of Google's share, less than half of Google's shares, and MSN is also Yahoo! Less than, 13% of market share is behind at 3rd place. If these figures are not quite effective for Google, independent estimates show that more than 80% of search referrals come from Google - Google receives nearly one billion search requests per day - and estimates are made by Google For every search that makes 12 cents, you can see that Google Corporation is a very attractive business!
With many applications and products that Google has brought out, and with the Internet control it is possible that in the coming years, Google will become a very influential part of all our lives.
